#Prepare your photos
- Use bright, indirect light and avoid harsh shadows.
- Place the camera around mid-torso height at a repeatable distance.
- Stand in a relaxed, neutral pose without flexing or twisting.
- Keep your full torso visible and wear similar fitted clothing for later comparisons.
- Start with a front photo. Signed-in users can add back, side, and one additional angle.
Expected outcomeThe upload preview shows each selected angle before analysis begins. Each image must be a supported image file and no larger than 6 MB.
If you still need helpIf an image is rejected, export it as JPEG, PNG, or WebP and try again without increasing its file size.
#Run the analysis
- Review the selected photos and optional profile inputs.
- Read and accept the AI-processing notice before the first analysis on a device.
- Start the analysis and keep the app or page open while it uploads and processes.
- Wait for a succeeded, degraded, or failed result. A queued state is not the final result.
Expected outcomeA completed result shows an estimated body-fat range, confidence context, physique scores when available, and fitness-oriented guidance. Some detail depends on the active plan.
If you still need helpIf processing remains stuck or ends in an error, use the troubleshooting guide rather than repeatedly resubmitting the same files.
#Read ranges, confidence, and physique insights
LeanLens estimates from visible photo information. A body-fat range expresses uncertainty; it is not a laboratory measurement or diagnosis.
Confidence describes how usable the submitted evidence was for the estimate. It does not guarantee that the result is correct.
Muscle, symmetry, proportion, and physique insights describe visible patterns in the submitted angles. They do not measure muscle tissue or detect medical conditions.
If you still need helpUse the result as one fitness check-in and discuss health decisions with a qualified professional.
#Why results vary
- Lighting can exaggerate or hide definition.
- Camera height, lens distance, and cropping change apparent proportions.
- Flexing, posture, hydration, meals, and time of day change appearance.
- Different clothing or missing angles reduce comparability.
- AI estimates have model uncertainty even when photo setup is consistent.
Expected outcomeA repeated setup usually makes trends easier to interpret, but nearby results can still move within overlapping ranges.
If you still need helpCompare several consistently captured check-ins instead of treating one result as definitive.
