Body Composition and Progress Tools

Understand a measurement, interpret your physique, or make a more informed next decision. Choose a tool by the information you have.

Start with your input

Measurement calculators work with numbers you enter. Photo analysis estimates visible physique traits. Neither replaces a clinical assessment.

Height · weight · tape measurements

Navy Body Fat Calculator

Estimate body fat from tape measurements using the selected equation. Read the measurement protocol before entering your numbers.

Age · height · weight · activity

TDEE Calculator

Estimate daily energy needs from a resting-energy equation and an activity assumption.

Weight · daily calorie target

Macro Calculator

Turn a calorie target into an illustrative protein, carbohydrate and fat allocation.

Maintenance calories · deficit percentage

Calorie Deficit Calculator

Explore how a chosen percentage changes a maintenance-calorie estimate.

Waist · height

Waist-to-Height Ratio Calculator

Calculate waist circumference divided by height using consistent units.

Two weights · two waist measurements · time

Body Recomposition Tracker

Compare entered weight and waist changes without pretending to measure muscle gained or fat lost.

Room · camera · pose checklist

Progress Photo Setup Planner

Build a repeatable photo setup and print a checklist for your next session.

Two photos · no account

Compare Your Progress Photos

Align two photos in your browser. Compare side by side, with a slider, or as an overlay, then download a new PNG.

Reference set · two illustrative ranges

Body fat visualizer

Compare two synthetic references from the existing visual guide. Illustrations are not measured body-fat results or a prediction of your body.

Two shoulder · waist · hip measurement sets

Body measurement visualizer

Compare circumference lengths, numerical changes and shoulder-to-waist ratios. The diagram does not reconstruct your body shape.

Height · weight · body-fat estimate

FFMI calculator

Calculate fat-free mass index and height-normalized FFMI. Explore how a body-fat estimate changes the result.

Shoulder · waist measurements

V-taper calculator

Compare shoulder and waist measurements with a shoulder-to-waist ratio.

Physique context · goal

Photo body-fat estimate

Start a web scan for an estimated body-fat range. A photo estimate is not a laboratory measurement.

Build a repeatable tracking routine

A consistent method makes the next comparison more useful than adding another metric.

Common questions

Which tools need a photo?

The photo body-fat estimate opens the web scan. FFMI and V-taper use measurements you enter, so they do not require a body photo.

Can a calculator measure my body fat?

A calculator applies a formula to its inputs. FFMI requires an existing body-fat estimate; it does not independently measure body fat. Photo analysis also produces an estimate.
